Golf AutoScore

Autoscore combines the tradition of the golf scorecard with time saving technology.

The Golf AutoScore scorecard is marked by the golfer like a traditional scorecard, but in addition, strokes are marked on a ‘lotto’ style panel for each of the 18 holes. At the completion of the round the scorecard is fed into a Mark Reader and the scoring information is recorded in approximately 1 second. Scores are instantly fed to the online leaderboard

SCORECARD TECHNOLOGY

The Golf AutoScore™ scorecard is marked by the golfer like a traditional scorecard, but in addition, strokes are marked on a ‘lotto’ style panel for each of the 18 holes. At the completion of the round the scorecard is fed into a Mark Reader and the scoring information is recorded in approximately 1 second.

The mark reader is the device used to read the data recorded on the Golf AutoScore™ scorecard. The reader technology has successfully been used commercially for close to 30 years.

LEADERBOARD

This feature allows you to display multiple competition results on a PGA style Leaderboard, providing great entertainment value for players. Competition results are constantly updated in real time as the scorecards are processed and are displayed automatically in count-back order. Advertising can also be displayed on the Leaderboard. A sponsor’s page can be inserted in-between competition results or alternatively sponsors logo’s can be displayed continuously as a header or footer.

MEMBER MANAGEMENT

Member management provides golf clubs with the facility to manage membership details and the day-to-day requirements of handicapping.

The member management module holds membership details such as the members name, Id, DOB, handicap, address and contract details, and membership status.

COMPETITION MODULE

Golf AutoScore™’s competition module accommodates numerous competition formats. The module provides the user with the flexibility to configure competitions with different handicap and age ranges; and for multiple rounds, courses, and player categories.

Competitions may be run daily, but of course any day of play may form a part of some broader multi-round competition. Club ‘Open’ events are an example of a multi-round competition, which are typically over 2 or 4 rounds, and 1 or 2 days. The competition module allows progressive results to be produced after each round, and final results at the completion of the competition. This can be done for any number of rounds and over any number of days.

Results can also be based on the ‘best’ number of rounds over a competition. For example, the club may have a progressive event, which uses the best three monthly medal rounds returned over the year by each player. The competition module will automatically aggregate the best three rounds for the monthly medal competition and display the results in rank order.

The competition module also provides the ability to run best-ball team competitions. Best-ball competitions can be configured to select the best 1, 2, 3, 4 (and so on) scores per hole per team. Also, you are able to mix up the best-ball scores on each hole allowing you to run tournaments such as Irish Stableford. For example, you can run an Irish Stableford where you take the best score for the team on the first 6 holes, then the best 2 scores for the team between holes 7 to 12, and the best 3 scores for the team between holes 13 to 18.

The competition module provides a vast array of competition format, providing the user with the flexibility to run competitions previously to difficult to run. Not forgetting, as soon as the last scorecard has been entered into the system, the final results are instantly available and you can be confident the results are accurate!
