WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SCORECARD GETS WET?
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU MARK AN INCORRECT SCORE ON THE SCORECARD?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS THE SCORECARDS OF A FIELD OF 120 PLAYERS? OUR CLUB OFTEN RUNS EVENTS WITH SHOTGUN STARTS AND PROCESSING THE RESULTS MANUALLY CAN TAKE A WHILE.
A great deal of effort has gone into the technical specifications of
the scorecards and consequently they are remarkably resilient to
punishment by the golfer and the elements.
Awfully wet scorecards should not be entered into the reader. These
scorecards can be entered manually into the system. Alternatively, if
you do not require the results immediately you may leave the scorecard
to dry (approximately half-an-hour is sufficient time) and then enter
the scorecard into the card reader.
If you make a mistake marking a score, you simply cross out the
incorrect score and place another mark on the correct score. When the
scorecard is processed via the mark reader, the acceptance screen will
highlight a hole with dual marks. The Golf AutoScore™ system uses
predictive error correction, i.e. it will display the most likely
score, and the operator can accept the predicted score if correct or
make the required adjustment.
If you are able to fill out a lotto or TAB slip you should have little
problem with the Golf AutoScore™ scorecards, as the numbers on our
scorecards are larger than those used on either the lotto or TAB slips.
However, the small number of members who are farsighted and require
glasses to view close objects may prefer to write out their scorecard
as normal while on the golf course (as the Golf AutoScore™ scorecard
keeps with the tradition of a conventional scorecard, there is still
space provided on the scorecard for the written entry of scores). When
members have completed their round, they can then utilise their glasses
and fill in the 'lotto' style portion of the scorecard (which takes
approximately 30 seconds).
When the user becomes proficient with the computer software, you can
process a card approximately every 8 seconds (this includes fixing
mistakes on the scorecard). Therefore, processing 120 scorecards would
take around 16 minutes and the results in countback order would be
available immediately.

In Lagos (Nigeria) on the 8th of November 2009, Paige Carlyle, a Director of Golf AutoScore NZ Ltd, signed the West Africa Reseller Contract with Deji Oguntonade, Soji Oguntonade, and Yemi Atanda of SugarAnt Technologies Ltd.
SugarAnt Technologies Ltd have been evaluating the Golf AutoScore product range for the last 5 months and with customers lining up it was appropriate for Paige to visit the market to see for himself the opportunities that exist. With more than 50 golf courses in the Nigerian market, and many more in the other 11 countries covered by the agreement, SugarAnt and Golf AutoScore agree that there are significant opportunities in the golfing sector in West Africa.
SugarAnt Technologies Limited (STL) is a privately owned limited liability company incorporated in Nigeria. To date it has a patent for a scratch card based declining balance account (KUZZAH) and has developed several bespoke applications for small and medium sized companies. The ownership is by Technopreneurs who have acquired over 30 years of technology know-how in banking, mobile payments, product development, sales and management experience in deploying technology based solutions in West Africa.
